“Amazing hotel, beautiful location, beautiful town”

Amazing one night stay! From the first step to the last ,all was handled professionally and with a big smile, the team ,the facilities, the atmosphere were magnificent . The room, small things like warming pad at turndown, welcome wine and full mini bar! Wow. We are beyond grateful, the only regret is a very short stay, overnight stay on our way to the garden route. Thank you ,The Marine!

“An unforgettable hotel with a beautiful view.”

Beautiful hotel, so tastefully decorated. Food was fantastic, and the views are out of this world. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t have helped us more to have a lovely stay. Close to hotel are some nice restaurants which are a short and safe walk from the hotel. The attention to detail in this Liz McGrath collection hotel are spot on, the dressing gowns, the his and hers bathroom areas and the toiletries were also a touch of class. We will be back.

“TRADITIONAL 5* HOTEL IN CLIFF TOP POSITION OVERLOOKING WALKER BAY”

We stayed just 2 nights here after our other stays at Cape Town and Seapoint. A warm welcome upon check-in by professional team. This wonderful hotel ouses charm and is a relaxing haven away from hustle and bustle of some resorts. Excellent breakfast with attentive service and great choice of fruit, cereals etc. Dinner is taken in a fine dining atmosphere with views over the Bay. Staff were extremely efficient and helpful whether in bar/lounge , restaurant or housekeeping. The position is well suited for cliff top walks or visting the many shops and restaurants in the town.
An old world charm hotel which will not dissappoint.

“Excellence This is 5*”

Our second stay at The Marine. Faultless, from a wonderfully genuine ‘welcome back’ check in, to loading the car at the end of our three days. All of the staff were friendly and very professional and the food at breakfast and dinner of the highest quality. Despite the hotel being reasonably busy we were still referred to by name when encountering staff in the corridors etc. Outstanding. The rooms are wonderful and delightfully decorated. Great bath gowns and Africology cosmetics. In today’s world we often have high expectations which in reality fall short. Not here everyone goes out of their way to make your stay perfect. WELL DONE EVERYONE AND THANK YOU

“Fabulous stay with amazing sea views from the breakfast area”

We did have a fantastic stay and hope to return when the whales are in Hermanus. I would stay at the Marine again without any hesitation.

Location:
Beautiful location on the cliff path and within walking distance of the center

Check in:
Very welcoming, fast, perfect

Rooms:
A very cosy, bright bedroom with a great bed and with a large and functional bathroom that was rather dark and a bit outdated but a very nice shower and great amenities.

Pool:
Before arrival I had planned to certainly make use of the rock pool but upon arrival the waves were smashing over the barrier fence and I was to scared to go in because there was no way of seeing how deep it was or where there were rocks but it is a beautiful natural pool. The hotel also has a small swimming pool.

Breakfast:
We did have breakfast outside on the terrace and it was marvelous. While having breakfast, a school of dolphins was passing by. No words to describe what an amazing sight this was.

Parking:
Free and convenient parking
